Janhvi Kapoor recently shared a touching look into her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 9, discussing how he stood by her after her mother Sridevi’s tragic passing in 2018.

Shikhar Pahariya’s Quiet Support After Sridevi’s Death

Host Karan Johar brought up witnessing Shikhar Pahariya supporting Janhvi Kapoor through that challenging period, noting they were not officially dating then. When asked if she always knew he was her endgame, Janhvi shared details she uncovered much later about his efforts to stay close.

She mentioned that Shikhar took roughly half a semester off from studying in London and relocated to a friend’s house in Juhu for a month. Even though they were not seeing each other daily, he wanted to be nearby just in case she needed him during her unimaginable personal loss, as Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai before Janhvi’s debut film Dhadak.

A Bond Built Over Many Years

Over the years, Janhvi Kapoor has grown more open about the role of Shikhar Pahariya in her life. In a previous interview, she mentioned that he has been around since she was 15 or 16 years old, highlighting that their relationship is founded on mutual support and shared dreams.

Their public appearances and Janhvi calling him Shiku affectionately often draw attention, but this latest story shows that meaningful gestures can happen far away from the public spotlight.
