The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms across Maharashtra from April 19 onwards. This weather change is expected to bring relief from the ongoing heatwave in many parts of the state. Cities like Pune, Nashik, Satara, and regions in Marathwada and Vidarbha may experience light to moderate rainfall along with strong winds and lightning. A yellow alert has been issued, warning people to stay cautious during this period. The weather shift is due to changes in atmospheric conditions, including moisture from the sea and a western disturbance. This rainfall is expected to cool temperatures and provide much-needed relief to residents.
