Jemimah Rodrigues Confirms Return After Injury Recovery

India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has announced that she has fully recovered from a hamstring injury, clearing the path for her return to competitive action after completing three months of rehabilitation.

Injury Timeline and Missed Tournaments

Rodrigues sustained the right hamstring injury on August 3 while representing the Southern Brave during the women’s Hundred match in Cardiff. The Board of Control for Cricket in India medical team subsequently classified the issue as a high-grade tear. Consequently, this injury forced her to withdraw from the T20 Asia Cup held in the United Arab Emirates across August and September, as well as the Asian Games in Japan in September, both of which India ultimately won. Furthermore, she was sidelined for the recently finished home ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe, where India secured 3-0 victories in both formats.

Upcoming Fixtures for Rodrigues

Through an Instagram post on Friday, the cricketer shared that her hamstring had officially been declared fit following three months of rehab, expressing her eagerness to resume playing. Looking ahead, India’s upcoming schedule features a multi-format tour to South Africa in December, consisting of a one-off Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is. Additionally, Rodrigues is a candidate to feature for Mumbai in the ongoing Senior Women’s T20 Trophy.
