The luxury electric vehicle market has reached a new pinnacle with the unveiling of BMW’s Neue Klasse iX3 and Volvo’s flagship EX90. Both manufacturers have showcased advanced battery technology that delivers an impressive range of up to 800 kilometers on a single charge. These vehicles utilize a sophisticated “800-volt architecture,” allowing them to regain nearly 350 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of rapid charging.
Beyond the power stats, these EVs introduce a radical shift in interior design. BMW’s “Panoramic Vision” replaces the traditional dashboard with a holographic display that spans the entire width of the lower windscreen. As India continues to expand its EV charging infrastructure, these long-range luxury models are expected to arrive in the domestic market by late 2026, offering a powerful alternative to traditional combustion-engine luxury SUVs.
